Abstract

The article presents the experience of training of lecturers in higher education in universities of Germany, the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada and Australia. The author studied the educational proposals of foreign universities and identified the directions of training of lecturers in higher education in the magistracy. The variety of master’s degree programs in foreign educational institutions is shown. Features of the contents of master’s programs are disclosed. It is stated that the didactic components of training of lecturers in higher education are aimed at deepening the competences of planning, conducting, analysing of training sessions, acquiring didactic skills, pedagogical diagnostics and self-assessment. The value of the practical semester in the training of lecturers in the magistracy is indicated. It is noted that master’s programs at foreign universities are professionally and practically oriented, promoting self-study, professional development and lifelong learning.
